The Qur'an

and not   they deceive   except   themselves,  and not   they realize (it).  

[the] people   [the] righteousness   and you forget   yourselves,  while you   [you] recite   the Book?  

a day,   (will) not   avail   any soul  for   (another) soul   anything,  

avail   any soul   for   (another) soul  anything,   and not   will be accepted  

"O my people!   Indeed, you   [you] have wronged   yourselves  by your taking   the calf.   So turn in repentance  

to   your Creator,   and kill   yourselves.  That   (is) better   for you  

they wronged Us,   but   they were   (to) themselves  doing wrong.  

And when   you killed   a man,  then you disputed   concerning it,   but Allah  

your blood   and not   (will) evict   yourselves  from   your homes,"   then  

you   (are) those   (who) kill   yourselves  and evict   a party   of you  

with what   (does) not   desire   yourselves,  you acted arrogantly?   So a party   you denied,  

Evil (is) that   (for) which they have sold   with   themselves,  that   they disbelieve   in what  

(is) what   they sold   with it   themselves,  if   they were   (to) know.  

(out of) jealousy   from   (of)   themselves,  (even) from   after   [what]  

[the] zakah.   And whatever   you send forth   for yourselves  of   good (deeds),   you will find it  

a day   not   will avail   a soul  (of)   (another) soul   anything  

will avail   a soul   (of)   (another) soul  anything   and not   will be accepted  

except   who   fooled   himself?  And indeed   We chose him   in  

and loss   of   [the] wealth   and [the] lives  and [the] fruits,   but give good news   (to) the patient ones.  

that you   used to   deceive   yourselves,  so He turned   towards you   and He forgave  

the people   (is the one) who   sells   his own self  seeking   pleasure   (of) Allah.  

when   you wish,   and send forth (good deeds)   for yourselves.  And be conscious   (of) Allah   and know  

And the women who are divorced   shall wait   concerning themselves  (for) three   monthly periods.   And (it is) not  

that,   then indeed,   he wronged   himself.  And (do) not   take   (the) Verses  

in a fair manner.   Not   is burdened   any soul  except   its capacity.   Not  

and leave behind   wives,   (the widows) should wait   for themselves  (for) four   months   and ten (days).  

for what   they do   concerning   themselves  in a fair manner.   And Allah   of what  

or   you conceal it   in   yourselves.  Knows   Allah   that you  

knows   what   (is) within   yourselves  so beware of Him.   And know   that  

what   they do   concerning   themselves  [of]   honorably.   And Allah  

(of) Allah,   and certainty   from   their (inner) souls,  (is) like   a garden   on a height,  

you spend   of   good   then it is for yourself,  and not   you spend   except  

Then   (will be) repaid in full   every   soul  what   it earned   and they  

you disclose   what   (is) in   yourselves  or   you conceal it,   will call you to account  

(Does) not   burden   Allah   any soul  except   its capacity,   for it  

in it.   And will be paid in full   every   soul  what   it earned   and they  

(as) a precaution.   And warns you   Allah   (of) Himself,  and to   Allah   (is) the final return.  

(On the) day   will find   every   soul  what   it did   of  

great.   And warns you   Allah   (against) Himself,  and Allah   (is) Most Kind   to (His) [the] slaves.  

and your sons,   and our women   and your women,   and ourselves  and yourselves,   then   let us pray humbly,  

and our women   and your women,   and ourselves   and yourselves,  then   let us pray humbly,   and [we] invoke  

and not   they lead astray   except   themselves  and not   they perceive.  

made unlawful   Israel   upon   himself  from   before   [that]  

(the) harvest   (of) a people   who wronged   themselves,  then destroyed it.   And not   (has) wronged them  

(has) wronged them   Allah   [and] but   themselves  they wronged.  

immorality   or   wronged   themselves -  they remember   Allah   then ask forgiveness  

And not   is   for a soul  that   he dies   except  

while a group   certainly   worried [them]   (about) themselves  thinking   about Allah   other than  

(is) for Allah."   They hide   in   themselves  what   not   they reveal  

Then   is repaid in full   every   soul  what   it earned   and they  

among them   a Messenger   from   themselves  reciting   to them   His Verses  

"It   (is)   from   yourselves."  Indeed,   Allah   (is) on  

Say,   "Then avert   from   yourselves  [the] death   if   you are  

We give respite   to them   (is) good   for themselves.  Only   We give respite   to them  

Every   soul  (will) taste   [the] death,   and only  

You will certainly be tested   in   your wealth   and yourselves.  And you will certainly hear   from   those who  

the One Who   created you   from   a soul  single   and created   from it  

of   anything   of it   (on their) own,  then eat it   (in) satisfaction   (and) ease.  

among you.   And (do) not   kill   yourselves.  Indeed,   Allah   is  

[towards]   those who   claim purity   (for) themselves?  Nay,   (it is) Allah,   He purifies  

and say   to them   concerning   their souls  a word   penetrating.  

[that] they,   when   they wronged   themselves,  (had) come to you   and asked forgiveness   (of) Allah,  

not   they find   in   themselves  any discomfort   about what   you (have) decided  

on them   that,   "Kill   yourselves"  or   "Go forth   from  

of   (the) evil   (is) from   yourself.  And We have sent you   for the people   (as) a Messenger,  

not   are you responsible   except   (for) yourself.  And encourage   the believers,   perhaps  

(the) way   (of) Allah   with their wealth   and their lives.  Preferred   (has) Allah   the ones who strive  

(has) Allah   the ones who strive   with their wealth   and their lives  to   the ones who sit   (in) rank.  

take them (in death)   the Angels   (while) they (were) wronging   themselves  they say,   "In what (condition)   were you?"  

for   those who   deceive   themselves.  Indeed,   Allah   (does) not  

evil   or   wrongs   his soul  then   seeks forgiveness   (of) Allah  

then only   he earns it   against   his soul.  And is   Allah   All-Knowing,  

But not   they mislead   except   themselves,  and not   they will harm you   in  

and [the] reconciliation   (is) best.   And are swayed   the souls  (by) greed.   But if   you do good  

to Allah,   even if   (it is) against   yourselves  or   the parents   and the relatives.  

(do) not   (have) power   except   (over) myself  and my brother,   so (make a) separation   between us  

Then prompted   to him   his soul  (to) kill   his brother,   so he killed him  

that he   who   kills   a soul  other than   (for) a soul   or  

kills   a soul   other than   (for) a soul  or   (for) spreading corruption   in  

for them   in it   that -   the life  for the life,   and the eye   for the eye,  

in it   that -   the life   for the life,  and the eye   for the eye,   and the nose  

what   they had concealed   within   themselves,  regretful.  

with what   not   desired   their souls,  a group   they denied   and a group  

(is) what   sent forth   for them   their souls,  that   became angry   Allah  

who   believe!   Upon you   (is to guard) yourselves.  Not   will harm you   (those) who  

You know   what   (is) in   myself,  and not   I know   what  

I know   what   (is) in   Yourself.  Indeed, You,   You   (are) All-Knower  

"To Allah."   He has decreed   upon   Himself  the Mercy.   Surely He will assemble you   on  

about it.   Those who   have lost   themselves,  then they   (do) not   believe.  

their sons.   Those who   lost   themselves  then they   (do) not   believe.  

how   they lied   against   themselves.  And lost   from them   what  

And not   they destroy   except   themselves  and not   they perceive.  

(Has) Prescribed   your Lord   upon   Himself  the Mercy,   that he   who  

with it,   lest   is given up to destruction   a soul  for what   it (has) earned,   not  

(are) stretching out   their hands (saying),   "Discharge   your souls!  Today   you will be recompensed   (with) punishment,  

(is) the One Who   (has) produced you   from   a soul,  single,   so (there is) a place of dwelling   and a resting place.  

your Lord.   Then whoever   sees,   then (it is) for his soul,  and whoever   (is) blind   then (it is) against himself.  

And not   they plot   except   against themselves  and not   they perceive.  

They will say,   "We bear witness   against   ourselves."  And deluded them   the life   (of) the world,  

(of) the world,   and they will bear witness   against   themselves  that they   were   disbelievers.  

(is) concealed.   And (do) not   kill   the soul  which   has (been) forbidden   (by) Allah  

with justice.   Not   We burden   any soul  except   (to) its capacity.   And when  

(of) your Lord,   not   will benefit   a soul  its faith,   not   (if) it had  

And not   earns   every   soul  except   against itself,   and not  

so those   (will be) the ones who   lost,   themselves  because   they were   to Our Verses  

Both of them said,   "Our Lord   we have wronged   ourselves,  and if   not   You forgive  

from us,"   and they (will) testify   against   themselves  that they   were   disbelievers.  

[the] righteous deeds   not   We burden   any soul  except   (to) its capacity.   Those  

do."   Verily,   they lost   themselves,  and strayed   from them   what  

they wronged Us   but   they were   (to) themselves  doing wrong.  

their descendants   and made them testify   over   themselves,  "Am I not   your Lord?"   They said,  

those who   denied   Our Signs   and themselves  they used to   wrong.  

Say,   "Not   I have power   for myself  (to) benefit   and no   (power to) harm,  

(is) the One Who   created you   from   a soul,  single   and made   from it  

to (give) them   any help   and not   themselves  can they help.  

they are able   (to) help you   and not   themselves  can they help.  

And remember   your Lord   in   yourself  humbly   and (in) fear   and without  

until   they change   what   (is) in themselves.  And indeed,   Allah   (is) All-Hearing,  

and emigrated   and strove hard   with their wealth   and their lives  in   (the) way   (of) Allah  

(the) masajid of Allah   (while) witnessing   against   themselves  [with] disbelief.   (For) those,   worthless  

(the) way   (of) Allah   with their wealth   and their lives  (are) greater   (in) rank   near  

"This   (is) what   you hoarded   for yourselves,  so taste   what   you used to  

so (do) not   wrong   therein   yourselves.  And fight   the polytheists   all together,  

or heavy   and strive   with your wealth   and your lives  in   (the) way   (of) Allah.  

certainly we (would) have come forth   with you."   They destroy   their own selves  and Allah   knows   (that) indeed, they  

that   they strive   with their wealth   and their lives.  And Allah   (is) All-Knower   of the righteous.  

the life   (of) the world,   and should depart   their souls  while they   (are) disbelievers.  

to wrong them   but   they were (to)   themselves  doing wrong.  

to   strive   with their wealth   and their lives  in   (the) way   (of) Allah  

in   the world,   and will depart   their souls  while they   (are) disbelievers.  

with him   strove   with their wealth   and their lives.  And those,   for them   (are) the good things,  

(has) purchased   from   the believers   their lives  and their wealth,   because   for them  

it was vast.   And (was) straitened   for them   their own souls  and they were certain   that   (there is) no  

of Allah,   and not   they prefer   their lives  to   his life.   That is  

they prefer   their lives   to   his life.  That is   because [they]   (does) not  

(has) come to you   a Messenger   from   yourselves.  Grievous   to him   (is) what  

I change it   of   my own accord.   my own accord.  Not   I follow   except  

Only   your rebellion   (is) against   yourselves,  (the) enjoyment   (of) the life   (of) the world.  

There   will be put to trial   every   soul  (for) what   it did previously,   and they will be returned  

(in) anything,   but   the people   wrong themselves.  wrong themselves.  

Say,   "Not   I have power   for myself  (for) any harm   and not   (for) any profit  

And if   that   for every   soul  (that) wronged,   whatever   (is) in  

And not   is   for a soul  to   believe   except  

(is) guided   then only   (he is) guided   for his soul,  and whoever   goes astray   then only  

Those   (are) the ones who   (have) lost   their souls,  and lost   from them   (is) what  

knows best   what   (is) in   their souls.  Indeed, I   then   (will be) surely of  

We wronged them   but   they wronged   themselves.  So not   availed   them  

(it) comes   not   will speak   a soul  except   by His leave.   Then among them  

"Nay,   has enticed you   has enticed you   your souls  (to) a matter,   so patience   (is) beautiful.  

in   her house   from   his self.  And she closed   the doors   and she said,  

"She   sought to seduce me   about   myself."  And testified   a witness   of  

(is) seeking to seduce   her slave boy   about   himself;  indeed,   he has impassioned her   (with) love.  

And certainly   I sought to seduce him,   [from]   [himself]  but he saved himself,   and if   not  

you sought to seduce   Yusuf   from   himself?"  They said,   "Allah forbid!   "Allah forbid!  

I   sought to seduce him   from   himself,  and indeed, he   (is) surely of   the truthful.  

"And not   I absolve   myself.  Indeed,   the soul   (is) a certain enjoiner  

I absolve   myself.   Indeed,   the soul  (is) a certain enjoiner   of evil,   unless  

"Bring him to me;   "Bring him to me;   I will select him   for myself."  Then when   he spoke to him,   he said,  

but   (it was) a need   of   Yaqub's soul,  Yaqub's soul,   which he carried out.   And indeed, he  

But Yusuf kept it secret   But Yusuf kept it secret   within   himself,  and (did) not   reveal it   to them.  

"Nay,   have enticed   you   your souls  something,   so patience   (is) beautiful.  

until   they change   what   (is) in themselves.  And when   wills   Allah  

protectors,   not   they have power   for themselves  (to) benefit   and not   (to) harm?"  

(is) a Maintainer   of   every   soul  for what   it has earned?   Yet they ascribe  

what   earns   every   soul,  and will know   the disbelievers   for whom  

So (do) not   blame me,   but blame   yourselves.  Not   (can) I   (be) your helper  

the dwellings   (of) those who   wronged   themselves,  and it had become clear   to you   how  

So that Allah may recompense   So that Allah may recompense   each   soul  (for) what   it earned.   Indeed,  

reach it   except   with great trouble   (to) yourselves.  Indeed,   your Lord   surely is Most Kind,  

take them in death   the Angels   (while) wronging   themselves,  then they would offer   the submission,   "Not  

Allah   but   they were   themselves  wronging.  

(has) made   for you   from   yourselves  spouses,   and has made   for you  

a witness   over them   from   themselves.  And We (will) bring   you   (as) a witness  

(On) the Day   (when) will come   every   soul  pleading   for   itself,  

soul   pleading   for   itself,  and will be paid in full   every   soul  

itself,   and will be paid in full   every   soul  what   it did   and they  

We wronged them   but   they used (to)   themselves  wrong.  

If   you do good,   you do good   for yourselves;  and if   you do evil,   then it is for it.  

"Read   your record.   Sufficient   (is) yourself  today,   against you   (as) accountant."  

(is) guided   then only   he is guided   for his soul.  And whoever   goes astray   then only  

(is) most knowing   of what   (is) in   yourselves.  If   you are   righteous,  

And (do) not   kill   the soul  which   Allah has forbidden,   Allah has forbidden,  

Then perhaps you would (be)   the one who kills   yourself  over   their footsteps,   if  

And be patient,   yourself,  with   those who   call  

his garden   while he   (was) unjust   to himself.  He said,   "Not   I think  

and the earth   and not   the creation   (of) themselves  and not   I Am   the One to take  

then he killed him.   He said,   "Have you killed   a soul,  pure,   for other than   a soul?  

a soul,   pure,   for other than   a soul?  Certainly,   you have done   a thing  

[I] hide it   that may be recompensed   every   soul  for what   it strives.  

and not   she grieves.   And you killed   a man,  but We saved you   from   the distress,  

And I (have) chosen you   for Myself. 

So sensed   in   himself  a fear,   Musa.  

and thus   suggested   to me   my soul." 

Every   soul  (will) taste   [the] death.   And We test you  

Not   they are able   (to) help   themselves  and not   they   from Us  

(of) the Resurrection,   so not   will be wronged   any soul  (in) anything.   And if   (there) be  

So they returned   to   themselves  and said,   "Indeed, you   [you]  

in   what   desire   their souls  will abide forever.  

And not   We burden   any soul  except   (to) its capacity,   and with Us  

then those   they [who]   have lost   their souls,  in   Hell   they (will) abide forever.  

for them   witnesses   except   themselves,  then (the) testimony   (of) one of them   (is) four  

think   the believing men   and the believing women   good of themselves  good of themselves   and say,   "This  

any blame   and not   on   yourselves  that   you eat   from  

houses   then greet   [on]   yourselves  a greeting   from   from  

are created,   and not   they possess   for themselves  any harm   and not   any benefit,  

Indeed,   they have become arrogant   within   themselves  and (become) insolent   (with) insolence   great.  

another,   and (do) not   [they] kill   the soul  which   Allah has forbidden   Allah has forbidden  

Perhaps you   (would) kill   yourself  that not   they become   believers.  

And they rejected   them,   though were convinced with them (signs)   themselves,  (out of) injustice   and haughtiness.   So see  

(is) grateful   then only   he is grateful   for his own soul.  And whoever   (is) ungrateful,   then indeed,  

"My Lord,   indeed, I   [I] have wronged   myself,  and I submit   with   Sulaiman  

accepts guidance   then only   he accepts guidance   for himself;  and whoever   goes astray   then say,  

"My Lord!   Indeed, I   [I] have wronged   my soul,  so forgive   [for] me."   Then He forgave  

kill me   as   you killed   a person  yesterday?   Not   you want  

Indeed,   I killed   of them   a man,  and I fear   that   they will kill me.  

strives   then only   he strives   for himself.  Indeed,   Allah   (is) Free from need  

to wrong them   but   they were   themselves  doing wrong.  

Every   soul  (will) taste   the death.   Then  

Do not   they ponder   within   themselves?  Not   Allah (has) created   Allah (has) created  

to wrong them   but   they were   themselves  (doing) wrong.  

He created   for you   from   yourselves  mates   that you may find tranquility   in them;  

to you   an example   from   yourselves.  Is   for you   among  

(are) equal,   you fear them   as you fear   yourselves?  Thus   We explain   the Verses  

And whoever   does   righteousness,   then for themselves  they are preparing,  

(is) grateful   then only   he is grateful   for himself.  And whoever   (is) ungrateful,   then indeed,  

and not   your resurrection   but   as a soul  single.   Indeed,   Allah  

the wombs.   And not   knows   any soul  what   it will earn   tomorrow,  

tomorrow,   and not   knows   any soul  in what   land   it will die.  

We (had) willed,   surely We (would) have given   every   soul  its guidance,   but   (is) true  

And not   knows   a soul  what   is hidden   for them  

eat   from it   their cattle   and they themselves?  Then do not   they see?  

(is) closer   to the believers   than   their own selves,  and his wives   (are) their mothers.   And possessors  

Allah."   But you concealed   within   yourself  what   Allah   (was to) disclose.  

believing   if   she gives   herself  to the Prophet   if   wishes  

between   our journeys."   And they wronged   themselves,  so We made them   narrations   and We dispersed them  

then only   I will err   against   myself.  But if   I am guided,   then it is by what  

He wills.   So (let) not   go out   your soul  for them   (in) regrets.   Indeed,  

purifies himself,   then only   he purifies   for his own self.  And to   Allah   (is) the destination.  

Our slaves;   and among them   (is he) who wrongs   himself,  and among them   (is he who is) moderate,   and among them  

grows   the earth   and of   themselves,  and of what   not   they know.  

So this Day   not   will be wronged   a soul  (in) anything   and not   you will be recompensed  

their offspring   (are) good-doers   and unjust   to himself  clear.  

He created you   from   a soul  single.   Then   He made  

the losers   (are) those who   (will) lose   themselves  and their families   (on the) Day   (of) the Resurrection.  

in truth.   So whoever   accepts guidance,   then (it is) for his soul;  and whoever   goes astray   then only  

Allah   takes   the souls  (at the) time   (of) their death,   and the one who  

Those who   have transgressed   against   themselves,  (do) not   despair   of  

Lest   should say   a soul,  "Oh! My regret   over   what  

And (will) be paid in full   every   soul  what   it did;   and He  

(was) greater   than   your hatred   (of) yourselves  when   you were called   to  

This Day   will be recompensed   every   soul  for what   it earned.   No  

therein   whatever   desire   your souls,  and for you   therein   what  

Whoever   does   righteous deeds   then it is for his soul;  and whoever   does evil,   then it is against it.  

in   the horizons   and in   themselves  until   becomes clear   to them,  

He made   for you   from   yourselves,  mates,   and among   the cattle  

the losers   (are) those who   lost   themselves  and their families   (on the) Day   (of) the Resurrection.  

And therein   (is) what   desires   the souls  and delights   the eyes,   and you  

Whoever   does   a righteous deed,   then it is for his soul,  and whoever   does evil,   then it (is) against it.  

in truth   and that may be recompensed   every   soul  for what   it has earned,   and they  

then only   he withholds   from   himself.  But Allah   (is) Free of need,   while you  

then only   he breaks   against   himself,  and whoever   fulfils   what  

than them.   And (do) not   insult   yourselves  and (do) not   call each other   by nicknames.  

doubt   but strive   with their wealth   and their lives  in   (the) way   (of) Allah.  

what   whispers   to him   his soul,  and We   (are) nearer   to him  

And will come   every   soul,  with it   a driver   and a witness.  

And in   yourselves.  Then will not   you see?  

assumption   and what   desire   the(ir) souls.  And certainly   has come to them   from  

(of) your mothers.   So (do) not   ascribe purity   (to) yourselves.  He   knows best   (he) who  

"Yes,   but you   led to temptation   yourselves  and you awaited   and you doubted   and deceived you  

the earth   and not   in   yourselves,  but   in   a Register  

Allah,   and they say   among   themselves,  "Why (does) not   Allah punish us   Allah punish us  

they were given   but prefer   over   themselves,  even though   was   with them  

And whoever   is saved   (from) stinginess   (of) his soul,  then those   [they]   (are) the successful ones.  

Fear   Allah   and let look   every soul  what   it has sent forth   for tomorrow,  

forgot   Allah,   so He made them forget   themselves.  Those   [they]   (are) the defiantly disobedient.  

(the) way   (of) Allah   with your wealth   and your lives.  That   (is) better   for you  

But never   will (be) delayed   (by) Allah   a soul  when   has come   its term.  

and obey   and spend;   (it is) better   for yourselves.  And whoever   is saved   (from the) greediness  

And whoever   is saved   (from the) greediness   (of) his soul,  then those   [they]   (are) the successful ones.  

(of) Allah   then certainly   he has wronged   himself.  Not   you know;   Perhaps  

Does not   burden   Allah   any soul  except   (with) what   He has given it.  

(you) who   believe!   Protect   yourselves  and your families   (from) a Fire   whose fuel  

goodly.   And whatever   you send forth   for yourselves  of   good,   you will find it  

Every   soul,  for what   it has earned,   (is) pledged,  

And nay!   I swear   by the soul  self-accusing.  

Nay!   [The] man   against   himself  (will be) a witness.  

standing   (before) his Lord,   and restrained   his soul  from   the vain desires,  

And when   the souls  are paired,  

Will know   a soul  what   it has brought.  

Will know   a soul  what   it has sent forth   and left behind.  

(The) Day   not   will have power   a soul  for a soul   anything,   and the Command  

not   will have power   a soul   for a soul  anything,   and the Command   that Day  

Not   (is) every   soul  but   over it   (is) a protector.  

"O   soul!  who is satisfied,  

And (the) soul  and (He) Who   proportioned it,  

And for   that   let aspire   the aspirers. 

And the dawn   when   it breathes 

(will be of) musk.   And for   that   let aspire  the aspirers.
