وَدَى a. [ يَدِي] (n. ac. وَدْي دِيَة [وِدْيَة]), Paid blood-money for. b.(n. ac. وَدْي), Brought near. وَدَّيَ a. [ coll. ], Sent. b. [ coll. ] [Ila], Led to (road). أَوْدَيَa. Perished. b. Was well-armed. c. [Bi], Took away (death). إِوْتَدَيَ (ت) a. Received blood-money. إِسْتَوْدَيَ a. [Bi], Acknowledged (debt). دِيَةa. Blood-money. وَدًىa. Ruin; death. وَادٍ (pl. أَوْدَاة [] أَوْدِيَة [ 15t ] وِدْيَان [] أَوْدَآء [] أَوْدَايَة [] ) a. Valley, vale; glen, gully. b. Oasis. c. River-bed; river. وَدِيَّة [] (pl. وَدِيّ) a. Palm-shoot. هُمَا مِن وَادٍ وَاحِدٍ a. They are alike in sense & sound ( words).
