عَزَّ(n. ac. عَزّ عِزّ عِزَّة عَزَاْزَة) a. Was, became mighty, powerful; was great, exalted; was loved, honoured. b. Was rare, scarce; was valuable, precious, costly dear. c. Strengthened himself. d. ['Ala], Was hard, difficult for; tried, distressed. e. Resisted, withstood. f.(n. ac. عَزّ) [acc. & Fī], Surpassed, excelled, vanquished, overcame in. عَزَّزَa. Made strong, mighty, powerful; strengthened; exalted. b. Honoured, respected. عَاْزَزَa. Vied with in honour, influence &c. أَعْزَزَa. see II (a) (b). c. Loved, cherished. d. [pass.] [Bi], Was pained, grieved at. تَعَزَّزَa. see I (a) (b). c. Was affected, fantastical. d. see VIII (b) إِعْتَزَزَa. Became mighty, powerful, great, influential &c. b.
