يَامَ (و) a. Lasted a day. يَاْوَمَa. Hired, engaged by the day. يَوْم (pl. أَيَّام [ 38I ] أَيَاوِيْم [] ) a. Day ( 24 hours ). b. Battle. c. [art.], To-day. يَوْمِيّa. Daily, diurnal; quotidian. يَوْمِيَّة a. [ coll. ], Daily wages; daily bread; rations; allowance. b. [ coll. ], Diary, journal. c. [ coll. ], Day-book. مُيَاوَمَة a. [ coll. ], Newspaper; journal daily paper, gazette; periodical, publication. يَوْمًا a. One day, once. يَوْمِيًّا a. Daily, diurnally. يَوْمًا فَيَوْمًا a. Day by day, from day to day. مِن يَوْمِهِ a. The same day; forthwith. كُلَّ يَوْمٍ a. Every day. أَيَّامًا a. For some days. أَيْوَم a. or يَوْم يَوِم Bright clear day. b.
