فَضَلَ(n. ac. فَضْل) a. Was superfluous, superabundant, in excess. b. [Min], Remained, was left over from; survived. c. [acc. or 'An or 'Ala], Exceeded, excelled, surpassed, was superior to. فَضِلَ(n. ac. فَضَل) a. see supra (a) فَضَّلَ a. [acc. & 'Ala], Made to excel, exceed; regarded as superior preferred to. b.
