غَلَا(n. ac. غَلَآء [] ) a. Was, became dear, expensive; was high, rose ( price ). b.(n. ac. غُلُوّ [غُلُوّ]) [Fī], Exceeded the bounds, went to great lengths in; was bigoted, fanatical in (religion). c. Grew high, became luxuriant; grew, developed too quickly. d. [acc. or Bi], Shot too far, too high (arrow). e. Overshot the mark (arrow). f. see VIII غَاْلَوَ a. [Fī], Went too far, exceeded the bounds, exaggerated in. b. [acc. or Bi], Sold too dear, raised the price of; bought too dear. c. [Bi] see I (d) أَغْلَوَa. Overcharged, asked too much for. b. Dear, high; excessive, exorbitant ( price). b. Expensive, costly; precious. c. (pl. غُلَاة [غُلَو]), Bigoted, fanatical; zealot, bigot, fanatic. غَلَآء [] a.
