جَادَ (و)(n. ac. جَوْدَة جُوْدَة) a. Was good, excellent; was copious, abundant. b. Was fleet, swift (horse). c. Overcame, overpowered. d.(n. ac. جُوْد) ['Ala], Was liberal, generous, bountiful. e.(n. ac. جَوْد جُوُوْد), Poured forth water (cloud); ran with tears (eye). جَوَّدَa. Made good, excellent. جَاْوَدَa. Vied with in goodness, generosity &c. أَجْوَدَ (a. ا or و ), Made good, approvable. b. Did or spoke well. تَجَوَّدَa. Deemed good, choice. b.
