1 نَكِلَ , aor. يَنْكُلُ, see 1 in art. فضل. النِّكْلُ signifies أَلَّذِى يُنْكِلُ أَقْرَانَهُ. (A, art. عض.)

See نَكَلٌ. نَكَلٌ and ↓ نِكْلٌ: see بَدَلٌ. نَكَالٌ Any punishment serving to give warning to others than the sufferer: (M, K, TA:) or that restrains the offender from repeating the offence. (Bd, ii. 6.)
