- DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish.

- Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired.

- And his wife, the portress of fire wood,

- and his wife [too], the firewood carrier,
- Amhad Khan
- And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head.

- and his wife, the carrier of the firewood,

- And his wife, (the) carrier (of) firewood,

- And his wife also: the firewood carrier;

- And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him).

- along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales;

- He will suffer in a blazing fire

- And his wife, the bearer of fuel,

- In her neck (will be) a rope of palm-fiber.

- On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre.

- In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre).

- upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre.

- and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre.
